Snow...

Oh the snow covered world outside provides me with no guilt days. As I'm stuck inside from the snow and ice outside, I couldn't be happier! I don't have to feel guilty for staying home and fully enjoying that feeling. Home is where I LOVE to be! When I go out to run errands, hang out with friends, visit family, always in the back of my mind, is getting to be at home later that day or days to come. For me being at home is a slice of heaven!

A day...

Today my daughter had a tough day of great anxiety, so we just hung out together running errands and taking extra special care of her gentle soul. She seems to be feeling better this evening and it's in tending to one's soul, when needed, that we can move forward and allow the present moment to flow.

Dance...

As I was running errands this morning, the sky was fairly blue and the sun peaked out of the clouds, leaving no indication of what was to come. Well by the time I got ready to leave the store to put the groceries in my car the sky fell open and dumped A LOT of rain. My first thought was "Oh NO" how am I going to get to my car with a cart full of groceries, I have no umbrella, etc. Then later today I thought, " wouldn't it have been nice if I hadn't worried so much about getting wet and just embrace the rain and decided to dance!

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... it's learning to dance in the rain."

Starting Over...

Today I woke up and knew I was feeling a bit off, but I thought I would go run a couple of errands anyway. After attempting to accomplish those things, I realize I had not brought with me what I needed to carry out the errands. So I decided to be kind and not beat myself up for what felt like wasted time and to just go home and "start over". And to see it through the eyes of gratitude would be to say, it wasn't far from home so I really didn't lose that much other then a little effort to get ready.  My list of "to do's" is long so I will just pick another item to accomplish and walk away in peace knowing I was kind to myself today ~ and that's a GOOD thing!
