Movie...

Tonight I rested and did what my body needed. I eat dinner, put my pajamas on, got ready for bed and watched a movie. I watched "If I Stay" and I really like the way it was done. It could have been a really really sad movie but the focus was on the love and the people that made up their life, not the death. It wasn't overly dramatic or sappy, just a really well-done movie... I enjoyed the rest and entertainment!

Do-Over...

Feeling out of sorts today. I didn't eat very well, I didn't do any of my usual routines and I got into bed late. But I'm not going to worry too much about it because tomorrow is another day and I can just start over ~ I'm grateful for my do-over!

It's Personal...

Today I took a "personal day" to do "almost" nothing. I stayed in my bed until about 2pm and finally got up to eat. Then went back to bed, slept a little more, watched TV, and just did as little as possible! It felt good not to even get out of my PJ's, not to "have to" go anywhere or feel like I needed to do anything! I've done this before, it happens about once or twice a year. It feels like I'm resetting my mind and starting over. Sometimes I just need a little "up close and personal time."

Good morning...

It seems like in the past several years my getting up in the morning has gotten later and later coinciding with my going to bed later and later. Not sure how the late nights started creeping up on me. I keep telling myself it's okay and to just go with the flow. For many years I had to be up early when the kids were little and now that they are so much older maybe I've relaxed that part of me a little. Trying not to decide whether it is right or wrong just calling it an observation in my life.

Grateful...

Today as I was running the water to make breakfast I had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude to be able to have water just flow out of the pipes anytime I turn the handle on. To have heat on these very cold and windy days. A refrigerator full of comfort food, healthy food as well as the very unhealthy . To have a warm and comfortable bed to sleep in with soft pillows on which to rest my head and fluffy blankets providing warmth for my body. A house that gives my children and I a place to call "HOME". It is filled to the brim with laughter, love and memories. My list is endless of things to be grateful for. These are only a few but in this present moment they are BIG.

"I AM GRATEFUL"
