Unfolds...

"Simplicity is not about deprivation, but about creating space for living."

This is where my mind has been today. All week I have been overwhelmed about the direction of my life and I know what I need ~ is to ~ Simplify! I'm not sure what that looks like at this point but I know that is what has to happen for me. So I am going to ponder this and watch how it unfolds.

Spontaneous...

As a person who is an awesome planner, and likes to prepare for things, I find it can be a disruption sometimes when spontaneity knocks on my door. But instead of thinking what a bad person I am because I struggled with a spontaneous moment, I can look at it as something I need to work on more and even incorporate more into my life. I will have to ponder that and figure out how to not "plan" my next spontaneous present moment!!

Being Kind to Yourself...

Feeling sick again, got me to pondering about when I'm feeling "not up to par" how I treat myself. Years ago when I had major surgery, people were surprised at how soon I was up and doing things, under the circumstances. Looking back, it was so much about how I loved myself. And now I can at least allow myself down time and let myself off the hook for accomplishing some things. It is still something I struggle with but it's nice to look back and see progress.

Death...

Death has taken another friend...

My thoughts to ponder during this time of grief...
Death is a great teacher. You have to be willing to look at what it would be like if death was staring you in the face. Let this knowledge help you to live every moment of your life fully, because every moment matters. What is it inside of us that is so afraid that it keeps us from just enjoying life? Be willing to be fully present without being afraid of what will happen in the next moment. Life is not something to waste. It's truly precious. That's why death is such a great teacher. Death is your friend!
