Sometimes...

Sometimes life hands you a situation and you are left to wrestle with your emotions. That is what I have done all afternoon. I think I have come to a peaceful conclusion that my heart can live with. Life is constantly asking us to dig a little deeper and find that place within, that may not be perfect but offers our soul a safe resting place.

Refuse...

Today is the only present moment I have available and I refuse to let any negativity into that space. I can't guarantee how I will choose to feel tomorrow but I can have control over the moment I'm in. I can either see my cup half full or half empty, it's my choice. The situation is still the same as it was when I was feeling discouraged and full of doubt, so why not just for today "refuse" to see anything but the positive and allow it to flow freely into my mind and heart.

Myself...

Forgiveness for me has not been a one time thing, especially when it's about me. Recently a recurring  situation came up and with that, it drew my attention to feelings I realize I've not fully forgiven myself for. So with awareness comes growth, and I once again have to be kind and forgive myself. One day something will bring it back to my attention and I will know the process of forgiveness for that issue will be done.

Power...

"They" say, when something happens to you the only thing you can control is how you respond to the situation. So after getting fired ( for the first time in my life), I allowed myself to feel sorry and depressed but then I woke this morning and said, self "he doesn't deserve anymore of your time and I'm taking my power back." I'm moving on!

Personal...

One of the greatest lessons I'm learning in life is to "not take it personally." Whatever the situation may be, it may sting in the moment but when you can let it go and realize it's more about the other person then about you then it's easier to "not take it personal." Now that doesn't mean I can't look at my own reflection and see things I can or could have done differently and learn from it, but when you don't take it personal you can be more objective and allow that moment to be, without judgement for either person.
