Voice...

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow."
Mary Anne Radmacher

I could relate to that little voice at the end of the day that say's, " I'll try again tomorrow." It's that small step you don't always manage each day but you keep showing up and trying again!

Opening...

I'm learning through a number of people lately how important it is to share and be vulnerable with those I walk this planet with. It's hard to open up and exposed my inter being, but you never know who you might touch with your words. We are all connected in this life and even though our paths are different they are still all the same. And when others share a part of themselves, they unknowingly give me the courage to do the same.

Roar...

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow."
Mary Anne Radmacher

This is so true for me, many a day. I don't need to feel hopeless, like I failed myself. I need to remember that I am still courageous and there is another present moment to try again!

Pain...

It's hard to sit back and allow someone to work out their pain the way that works for them. And when it's your child, all my motherly instincts wants to "do" something, anything to stop the process of anger, hurt and then find the strength to wait quietly for the sun to shine on acceptance. There are no band-aids that  heal the heart, and all I have to offer is my love, courage and strength, enough to muster up for all of us.

Inspiring...

" Your life is your message to the world. Make sure it is inspiring."
Lauren Conrad

I hope that the life I live will inspire those who see it, and long after I'm gone people will remember the courage, the strength and the love that I work on in my daily life. I'm just trying to be "me", with all its mishaps and triumphs, and let that be good enough.

Encouraging...

There are times when others words say just what I need. Here are some encouraging words that helped me today...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It was all a matter of consciously applying my focus. Grievances came from looking backward. But miracles come from focusing on the life in front of me, and the power of the current."
" It doesn't matter how many situations you've blown or missed or turned into nightmares. We live in an abundant universe. It's always waiting to help you turn your life around."
"It takes wild courage to start again. It takes power to drop the past and give everything to our current lives."
" Let go of what didn't happen this year the way you thought it should. The Universe is always giving. There's so much love coming down the pike. There are ideas, shifts, and opportunities flying your way. There are so many chances to begin again and again and it's always the perfect time and you've never missed out. It's all here for you. Only we limit what we allow ourselves to receive."
Courage and Fear...
"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
Nelson Mandela
When I saw this picture, it made me think of courage and fear. When darkness (fear) of the storm collides with the beauty (courage) of the sun, you get a brilliant rainbow! As when I am brave and can triumph over my fears, I feel as awesome as that rainbow looks. It is not something I will wake up one day and be done with, each fear must be conquered. But I know I do not walk this path alone. We all must face what we fear or be consumed by it.
Life Expands..
"LIfe shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."
~Anais Nin
This is so true for me! As opportunities present themselves in my life, each one is an chance to step up in courage and say "yes." Even ones as simple as a friend who gave me a shirt she no longer wanted and she thought it looked like me. But it had some sparkles on it and my first instinct was to think "oh I will stand out, it's just not me." I took it home and with time to reflect, I see it as a small step to open up and be seen. And another friend wants to have a small ceremony to celebrate my new stage in life, and again my first thought was, " oh no, I don't want to be the center of attention in a group." Each one I am choosing to offer myself with courage and grace
Courage...
      A friend of mine had a vision/collage get-together that I was not able to attend. It was to start off the new year with a word and vision you wanted to focus on through out the year. Mine I decided, was going to be COURAGE. I need courage to step out of my comfort zone and into the unknown. If I am to create what I want in my life, then courage is what I need! Courage doesn't come with a manual, so I will borrow from what life has to offer.
     Other people's lives offer insight into what it means to be courageous, quotes keep me reminded, and practice of showing up for myself is a daily dose of courage. A wise man once said,
"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear. "
- Nelson Mandela
