I've never been a coffee drinker, but I do love the smell of all the yummy flavors they make. Tea is my comfort place. It offers comfort over and over again in my life and I'm always grateful for that warm embrace it brings.

Cultivate trust...
The root that I most need to cultivate within myself now is...TRUST.
Walking each day with " the unknown" and wanting to do that in a more graceful and loving way, I have to trust that all will be well. With each passing present moment I have to believe I am being lead to a place more beautiful and amazing then I could ever dream for myself. And only with trust can I surrender and embrace all that is to be and allow it to flow swiftly into my life. When I can fully trust, I can be free to try new things and know no matter what the outcome I will be okay. With trust, there is security and comfort to move around in life, lighter and with excitement... like a surprise around every corner. All I have to do is put on foot in front of the other and know... " all is well"

Dark...
It's that time of year again... when darkness arrives sooner then I had hoped. With each passing year I've come to embrace all the seasons. They each have there own uniqueness to appreciate, but it takes me longer in the winter to adjust to the early, dark evening sky. My body just wants to stop all activities and snuggle up somewhere comfy. I am still learning from the absence of light when winter introduces herself once again.

Extra...
"Embrace the glorious mess that you are."
Elizabeth Gilbert
Feeling a bit overwhelmed today and trying to - "Embrace the glorious mess that I am."
But I'm trying to allow the feeling to flow freely ~ and love myself just a little extra!

Embrace...
"Stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for someone to fall in love with you, of life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now."
www.itsalovelylife.com
A good reminder to stay present in the NOW!
To embrace the very present moment I'm in and go with the flow. Be an observer and allow what is to be, then let it pass through me without resistence.

Melt down...
"Don't forget your human. It's okay to have a melt down. Just don't unpack and live there. Cry it out and then refocus on where you are headed."
I do forget often that I'm human. My mind is so busy surviving and working at keeping it all together that I don't allow the melt down and the good cry as much as my body asks for it. But the times I have, I do refocus and start again. It's a good reminder to embrace my humanness in this present moment.

Security...
"It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power."
Alan Cohen
A friend posted this quote for me today... I love quotes! I know in each line there is truth, but when I'm in the midst of the false security it feels real. I love the part of the line, " for in movement there is life," it reminds me of a river and how it flows so effortlessly, flowing through each day, each season, over each obstacle. Clinging to what I know is something I can see, moving towards the unknown are all the things I can't see and for me it's a process of learning to find that adventure and excitement even in the dark, for "in change there is power."

Lists...
I'm a list person, plain and simple. No matter how many electronical devices there are for making list and keep track of things, I just need my scrap of paper and I'm good ( of course if I loose it I'm completely lost!) It's the little things you realize about yourself that you finally come to accept. I'm not sure if I will every embrace the "new age" way of writing things down, but that's okay. It's all GOOD!

Love like the sun...
"When people stand up and shine their light, it shines a light on other people's darkness. When someone is sending me negativity or hate, its not because I'm wrong or did something wrong, it's a projection of what's inside them onto me. And the same goes for me. When I'm in a negative or angry state, I tend to project that state onto others.
My aim in life is to try to love like the sun - which shines on everyone the same."
It's hard sometimes to remember whatever someone is saying to me is their own reflection from their interpretation. But the same is true for me to them. It's a good reminder as I go to a gathering of friends today to - love like the sun - which shines on everyone the same! And that would include myself. I find the more I can embrace and love myself the less I project onto others because I come from a place of pure love.

The lives we're in...
"Waiting for something to change puts all the power and possibility beyond our control. But we, the consciously alive, creative, and visionary, don't wait for circumstances to change us. We change circumstances. We do it by embracing and igniting the lives we're in."
Words from: Inspired & Unstoppable
This is what I try to do everyday ~ Embrace the life I'm in right now! As I take steps towards tomorrow I keep myself grounded in the gratitude of today. For today is all I'm guaranteed. I like the word "igniting" as it pertains to my life, it sounds positive and exciting. My circumstances are changed one step at a time, one grateful moment at a time.

Anyway...
Can't say my confused state is any better today but I've decided to "smile anyway." Resistance gives me nothing but my confusion plus a side order of misery. Not going there today! I will stay in the present moment and accept "what is." I will believe "this too shall pass" and embrace the day. My hope is that my smile will uplift someone else's day and that will uplift mine.

I Bite...
This made me smile and reminded me that I do have a side that is not always pretty and sweet ~ sometimes "I do bite!" It is a struggle at times to embrace "all" of me and not just the parts that I like the most. So many times in my life I worked hard at trying to be "the good one" because that would assure others love. I think thats why it's hard for me to expose myself to the world sometimes - afraid that part of me that "bites" might show. But it is something I want to work on ~ allowing all of me to be exposed and loved, because when I embrace "all of me", others will as well and if they don't that will be okay too.
