A smile...

It has been two years since I've written on my blog and it always feels good to be back, no matter how long I've been gone. Within those two years LOTS has pass through my life and heart. Today there is a smile on my face. A smile that knows "all is well. A smile that radiates a knowing that I will not forsake or abandon myself for any reason. A smile that holds love for the people in my life that mean so much. A smile for my creativity that flows and a smile... just because I'm me!

Listen...

As I was watching Super Soul Sunday today and with all the beautiful and thought provoking things Marianne Williamson said, the one that stuck me was when asked "what she would have done differently in her campaign when running for governor." Her response was, " something she already knew, which was to just listen to what she knew inside." But because she asked other people what she should do as a person running for political office, she did things not knowing she could choose not to do them and follow what felt right for her. I found this a good reminder for myself, when asking others advice on subjects I'm not sure or when struggling with what to do, to still listen to my own "knowing" and decide if what is being said resonates for me or if what I'm feeling fits comfortable. It's a habit that I have to continually pick up and be aware of, and even with many years gone around this earth, I am forever learning and remembering to listen.

Softly...

Sometimes when I'm looking for answers or at least a "knowing" of what seems right at the moment, I have to retreat and withdraw from the world even when I'm in it. After having done that for a week, my answer come softly and it seemed more about letting go of my resistance to an idea of the way "I thought" something should be and letting things flow in a new direction.

Phoenix...

With wisdom comes "knowing."
I always tell my kids when they seem astonished when I share something or know the probable out come of a situation, "that's why they call it wisdom." It's meant to be shared and passed down. It's a perk of growing older." But I can draw on it too. When my heart feels like it can't hurt anymore or any worse, I "KNOW" that there light at the end of the tunnel. That there is a rainbow behind the clouds and I will be okay ~ no matter what. Like the phoenix rising up from the ashes http://aflourishinglife.com/2011/01/coping-with-challenging-life-circumstances/ ~

I will prevail and in doing so, so will my children.

My Six Senses...

I saw a post on someone's blog the other day about their five senses, so I thought it would be an interesting idea to write mine down today and add in the sixth.

Tasting: crunchy granola, beans and rice, toast with peanut butter. water with lemon, bean soup

Hearing: birds singing, tv, roaring cars, children's laughter, clanging dishes

Seeing: grocery store, cars, computers, my backyard, my home,

Smelling: beans cooking, burritos baking, fresh laundry

Knowing: All is well and I am safe, I am loved

Allowing.......

I open myself up today to the art of Allowing. To ask for more, to expect more, to receive more. To know it is okay to ask, expect and receive. To know it doesn't take away from anyone else. I don't need to suffer or pay dues in order to receive happiness, money, love, or peace. I only need to "KNOW", to trust, to surrender to what is and allow good things to flow. To find what makes me happy and be conscious in my present moments of my intent. Am I struggling or am I allowing? Am I seeing my cup half empty or half full? Am I offering love to myself and others or am I judging. Am I happy....... YES I AM!
