The Wishies...

As I was out quieting my mind this morning, I noticed the dandelion seeds, which I have always called "wishies" and are definitely on my favorite things list, floating across the sky and how they will land somewhere and something will grow. It got me to thinking about how when I put my loving thoughts out into the universe you never know what good or loving things will grow from them. And even when I extend those same thoughts for myself how much better I flourish and feel about each present moment I am in. So today I send the seeds of, PEACE, LOVE and JOY to grow and spread upon all those in need. Take what you like and spread the rest!

What's your Favorite Season...

 

My favorite season has always been fall. I love the vibrant colors and the leaves as they flutter down covering the ground. I have a slight obsession with leaves and collecting them is something I look forward to and it brings joy to my soul. Then fall leads into winter which over the years I have come to appreciate the silhouette of the trees against the beautiful sky as the trees lay dormant. I'm not fond of the cold weather and I use to dread the coming of the early darkness. But I know it's only temporary and then I have the spring to look forward too. I love something in each season, but fall will always hold a special place!

Plates...

I'm not sure what is going on with me in my kitchen, but this past year and the start of the new year, I have broken more of my dishes than I ever have in my entire life. It's been a frustration because I used those baking dishes a lot and the plates and bowls were some of my favorite. Whatever it is, maybe I'm just to let it go. I know I can't do anything about it but I get upset with myself because it keeps happening and it's driving me crazy. So I am just going to let go and start collecting mismatched plates and dishes when I can - I like that idea!

Car...

 I seem to do a lot of driving even though it happens to be my least favorite activity. Most of my friends live far away, my family live a good distance and I'm now helping a friend that lives on the other side of town from me. So I try to use the time in the car as a "car meditation." I quiet my mind as much as possible while still driving and just try to keep all the ideas, lists and thoughts that come flooding in when I'm still. I've heard of walking meditation, why not car meditation?!

Quiet Time....

 

 I'm back from spending time with family and when I'm there it's always a house full. Lot's of cooking, laughing and hanging out together, but when I come home I find my quiet time. I need quiet to recharge my soul and build up my energy for going out into the world again. But being with people you love gives you a bust that you can't get from being alone. Both are necessary...

Again...

I know, I am talking about fall again and I probable will again soon, but I came across this quote and I just loved it!!! Every time I'm out walking I can't help myself and I come home with leaves I'v picked up and need to dry. This fall is no different... in my house you will find dried leaves just about everywhere.

Tease...

The last couple of days the weather has given us "a tease of fall." It has been more then delightful and exciting to know my favorite season is coming. The leaves will be changing color and dancing as they flutter down to the ground. The weather offers relief from the heat and it will be time to take down my favorite sweater and shaw from the closet and watch the seasons change. I can't wait!!!

Barefoot...

One of my favorite things I look forward to when I'm out in the world doing things where I have to wear shoes is ~ taking them off! My feet feel so free and able to connect again to the earth. I've been a barefoot girl since I was a young child and I still love that barefoot feeling. One of my goals is to buy some toe shoes http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/index.htm ( there are a lot of other sites I just picked one to show you) so my feet can be closer to mother earth even when wearing "shoes."

Movie...

Someone gave my daughter a movie to watch called "About Time", so one night I decided to watch it. It has now become one of my favorite movies and one I would have no problem watching again. I won't give you any hints only that it is just a "happy" movie. The celebration of the present moment is the ending theme. I'm so glad I got a chance to watch a movie I probable might never have picked myself. 

Season...

I love this picture and didn't really have anything to go with it other then "noting" the JOY it brings me. Since fall in my favorite season, there are never enough picture, painting, real life memories that I grow tired of seeing,when they pertain to fall. Hope it brings a smile to your heart and lightens you day as it has mine.

AHHHHHH... It's my favorite time of year again ~ FALL!

My Home...

Oh... It feels so good to be home!

I love getting away for awhile but one of my favorite parts of any trip is heading home, crawling in my bed and being surrounded by all things familiar. Home is where the heart is! I LOVE home!
