Years ago I had a natural weaving hung on my bedroom wall full of gathered wonders found on hikes taken with friends and family. When I moved, it was to fragile to take with me... four years later, I have another one ready for mother nature's treasures. It motivates and inspires me to get outside more and be present to all that surrounds me.

It's in the Present Moments...
"My smallest of moments"...
A postcard of shared sorrow and hope
A friends shared tears and laughter
A small package of thoughtfulness
A meal offered and shared
A welcoming place to be
Animals with unconditional love
Quiet time with healing space
A car taken care of and safe to travel
Projects to work on, made with loving hands and heart
Surrounded with art that speaks and soothes
and...human kindness that connects us all.

Walk...
"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
John Muir
This is what I need right now... a walk with mother nature to make it all better!

Walk...
Everyday I'm interacting with mother nature while walking other peoples dogs. This gives me lots of opportunities to observe and bath in her beauty. The other day I posted about the Mimosa tree and now another awesome tree is in bloom ~ the Crape Myrtle. With its beautiful cluster of flowers, and when they start to drop off, leave behind this blanket of confetti that covers the ground. Just so pretty...

Thaws...
As the snow drips, the world thaws out and comes back alive. I love when we're all snowed in and the days are frozen. The noise of everyday is silenced and we're left only hearing mother nature and our own heart beat. I'm grateful for the few days we had, when time seemed to stand still, but life is not meant to be stagnate. I would not want to be frozen in this moment forever. But it was a nice change of pace.

Outside...
"Sometimes, you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and who you want to be."
That's what nature does for me... It reminds me of who I am and what I want to continue to be. My son and I went for a walk today on a beautiful trail, took our shoes off and walked in the cool damp grass. Life is good... thank you mother nature for your gentle nudges and constant reminders.

Authentic Me...
The more I supplement what my body needs from "Mother Nature" the more authentic I feel. It's hard to explain but it's like when I walk in the woods, there is something there that I connect with and feels like "me." I remember trying different exercises over the course of my life and one time I tried yoga. It brought me that same connection and feeling " it's me.". Being a mother has ALWAYS brought me a connection that felt right, and my hope is, in this new stage of my life, I will continue to stay in tune with my mind, body, spirit and follow what makes me feels right, and "Authentically me!

Trashy...
Since my children were little they have been picking up random pieces of trash and cleaning up the world one piece at a time. The other day I picked up something I found on the ground and thought wouldn't it be nice if we each picked up one thing when we see it, we would have a cleaner world. Of course it would be nice if there wasn't trash to pick up but since we don't live in a perfect world, lets be kind to mother nature and not look for blame. It only takes each of us one present moment to make a difference...

Earth Day...
"Forget not that the Earth delights to feel your bare feet, and the wind longs to play with your hair."
Kahlil Gibran
I am honored to be on this earth, and so I pause in awe of Mother Nature and all that she provides.
Thank you...

A Present Moment in Spring...
It was a beautiful day of spring, celebrated with a picnic in the park and a walk around the trail drinking in the trees energy. My middle son and I enjoyed the moments and left feeling refreshed and renewed! Nothing regenerates my spirit like hanging out with Mother Nature.
