Discount...

When I stopped at the grocery store the other day and looked at my receipt, low and behold I got a discount for my wisdom. Who knew!!! I think it was the stores way of saying, " senior citizen" discount, only in a more creative way. Often I am not even asked because of my gray hair, just assumed, as I was this day. So I will take my 3.11 discount for all my years of gathered wisdom and say ~ thank you!

Surprise...

Well... mother nature sure "surprised" me with a beautiful beautiful day. I opened all my windows and drank in all the coolness that was offered. It's July and a day like this is not something I ever expected but I am so grateful and full of JOY! Thank you mother nature for my surprise ~

A Fathers Choice...

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers that "choose" everyday to be a father to their children!
And thank you to my father who passed away nineteen and a half years ago ~ he used his last breath to let me know he loved me.

Moments...

"Miracles come in moments. Be ready and willing."
Dr. Wayne Dyer

I don't want to be looking around every corner wondering, it this the miracle? I want to live each present moment, open and willing to see the miracles as they appear before me and ready to say... "Thank You."

Packed Full...

In my life there are people who have giving me gifts that a simple "thank you" doesn't seem to be enough. But my hope is that when they hear these words, they will know, they're "packed full" of : gratitude, love, appreciation and more thankfulness then they will ever know.
Two simple words that mean so much ~ THANK YOU!

Earth Day...

"Forget not that the Earth delights to feel your bare feet, and the wind longs to play with your hair."
Kahlil Gibran

I am honored to be on this earth, and so I pause in awe of Mother Nature and all that she provides.
Thank you...

People...

I met with a very nice lady today who helped me get started with a program I'm interested in. She gave me two hours of her time and was so gracious. I have had numerous people help and who continue to provide time, knowledge and ideas in my life. I am grateful for these beautiful people. This is a BIG thank you... to you all! My life is made better because of your giving.

A Village...

There is a saying ~ "It takes a village to raise a child."~ this could also pertain to raising a creative idea.  My idea for a meal planning business doesn't happen on it's own. It has the support of my family and friends ~ my village! I was thinking about that and how most if not all great ideas and creativity are born with help from others. Leaving me with overwhelming gratitude. Thank you...ALL

Friendship...

My wonderful friendships are like rain that has slowly over time, softening my barren existence. Underneath there, lay waiting, a desire, a yearning for more. New life has started to grow and blossom and with each rainfall (gathering of friends) I feel my roots growing deeper, helping me stand strong and providing shelter and safety when weathering the storms. The sun does not always shine and when left in the dark, I have a "knowing" that I am cared for and loved and can wait until the light returns to shine again.
I am ever so grateful on this new day, in this new year, in this present moment for my friendships both old and new. I can feel the growth, the new life, the softening and I THANK YOU...

Garden of Plenty...

Another year, another garden. I love my garden as it takes care of me I take care of it. It provides me with just enough vegetables each day to last me all summer and fall. The garden space isn't big enough to have extra to store but it gives me what I need. It gives me "plenty". And like life there are others - friends gardens that are bigger and more plentiful that give me extra to store away. Sometimes in life we are not meant to provide all that we need and we can rely on others for help. Others bounties are bigger and shared and sometimes mine is bigger then shared. There is plenty for everyone in this life. Sometimes it's vegetables and fruits and other times it is help with a problem, a comforting word or just their presence. When we are present for each other we have all that we need. Thank you to all that have shared...

My Dad...

I've been thinking about the day my dad called me on his death bed. Because of medical complications he was not able to speak and when he called I had not spoken with him in a very long time. I wondered what he would have said after all the lost years if he was able to talk, but then I thought, love doesn't really need words. But for some reason it struck me almost 16 years later how profound that felt. That no matter what circumstances life gave us and even though we never really knew what the other felt except maybe rejection on both sides, at the very end my father wanted me to know before he left this planet earth that I was loved. And I'm sure he felt sorrow for the way things turned out, just as I had and that it was not about me, it was about the struggles he had . But dad really did love me and I'm sure thought about me more then I will ever know. Thank you dad for that phone call, I feel loved...

New years eve...

New years eve carries only a present moment on which to decide to love, decide to find joy and to embrace the present moment even more then I had the last one. It's about remembering when I am fearful, or worried that I are loved and whole and All Is Well. Its about loving myself a little more each day and finding within that, life's human experience. To welcome each other and allow without resistance what they have to offer. To clear my vision and see that no miracle is to big or to small, and when I am in the present moment and know only LOVE, life leaves me in awe of its wonder.
Thank you to all who have chosen this life with me and to all those yet unknown. I am learning to enjoy just "being" me.

Surrender to.....

Don't be afraid to surrender to the void.
The void isn't empty
it's filled with the Divine.
Words by: Marianne Williamson

My present moment today is about surrendering to the void. A place full of questions waiting for my answers to what is true for me. It's about jumping off into the unknown, knowing only that I don't have to go there alone. I am on this earth to give love and be loved. To stop clinging to "lack" and be present and open to what each moment can offer me. I am surrounded by SO many wonderful people, just their presence is a constant reminder of how loved and full my life is. I will live this moment today with gratitude and excitement. And a huge thank you to all that have chosen to come along for the ride of a life time.

Friends.....

How I love my friends! They are all so unique and different, each with their own gifts to share. After our time together I always leave full - full of love, laughter and a feeling of being connected to all the good in life. We are present for each other and our children. There is enough space for each person to be fully appreciated for just "BEING". We radiate compassion and love and it spreads like the ripples on a pond. I feel truly honored to be in the presence of such wonderful people I call FRIENDS, as we dance with acceptance of who we are and live life in the present moment. As we give and take from each others basket of friendship, sharing all that life gives us. My life and the lives of my children are made richer and happier because of all of you. Thank you for sharing your moments with us, letting us take part in each of your families.

Giving and Receiving

I have never been a very good receiver of gifts, compliments or offers. I have always been the one in my life who does the offering, the gift giving and the spreading of glad tidings so I think it has become a habit and habits can be unlearned. When I give, I give with much joy and love with no thoughts of obligation or feed back. I LOVE to give to others just because. It brings me such a "high"I wish that were my job in life. I am working on trying to accept what is given and offered in whatever form it comes in. With this Christmas season comes opportunities to practice allowing good tiding to flow and to just say "Thank You", which is enough.

Nothing to fear but fear itself

I FORGET -
I am not on this journey alone. There are others to help and encourage. My shoulders get heavy when I put more on them then I need too. I am only one person and I can't do everything. My "to do" list seems to be getting longer and longer. So for today I will choose not to look at it and choose to know ALL IS WELL. I don't want my present moments to be filled with FEAR, for there IS nothing to fear but fear itself. Thank you to all who walk along beside me because sometimes I - FORGET.

the eagle flies high
feeling free in his present moment
